Gili is a term used for small island around Lombok Island. Gili Trawangan is the most popular Gili in West Nusa Tenggara located in North Lombok. It's also the largest and most built up compared to two other gilis; Gili Meno and Gili Air which are in the same area called TraMenA (Trawangan, Meno, Air). This small island is surrounded by white sandy beaches, turquoise water and a mesmerizing underwater life (good for snorkeling and diving). It has the largest number of guesthouses, hotels and resorts. Beside that, it's also perfectly combined with bars and holiday atmosphere and night life make this place the most popular among travalers. 

Gili Trawangan can be reached by public boat and also private boat from Bangsal and Teluk Nara harbors. For those who come from Bali, there are private boats and small public ferry from Sanur and Padang Bai harbor directly to Gili Trawangan. It needs 2-3 hours for Lombok International Airport or Lembar harbor by car or motorcycle.
